Matt Griggs: Director and Head Coach

Matt (38 y/o) is a high performance coach, hailing from Sydney, Australia. A former professional surfer himself, Matt has coached, world champions, Australasian champions, published 2 best-sellers, coached and lectured on performance to many leading executive groups world-wide. Matt is at the forefront of performance coaching, having worked with Mick Fanning (2007/09 World Surfing Champion), Stephanie Gilmore (current and 4 x Women’s World Surfing Champion), Owen Wright (current World Tour surfer), first grade NRL players and many other elite athletes.

Matt also teaches a unique meditation (Kelee) that helps people detach from disharmonious thoughts and emotions, so they may distill their natural ability to its purist point. Matt has a 360-degree view of performance and brings his deeper understanding of health, happiness and high performance to everyone from professional athletes to businessman. 

Matt's lives in Cronulla with his wife Kate and son River. When he is not teaching about the nature of the mind and performance, he is studying it himself.



Kate Griggs: Business Manager and Director of  'The Nature of Success Retreats'

Kate has extensive experience in theatre, television and broadcasting in Australia, America and Asia. In a career spanning more than a decade, she has overseen various live broadcasts in association with Channel 9 including two years as an entertainment producer on the ‘Mornings with Kerri-Anne’ show.

Kate worked for eight years with leading PR Agency Zing to produce all logistical elements, including design and video work for clients including American Express, Telstra, GLACEAU vitaminwater, Coca-Cola, PricewaterHouseCoopers, Tooheys Extra Dry, Nestle and Sydney Olympic Park.

Kate now works with her husband Matt Griggs on delivering ‘The Nature of Success’ retreats. In this space Kate is not only able to use her corporate events experience but also teach Yoga and Kelee Meditation.

Daily Disciplines

Knowledge needs to be accompanied with daily action and discipline to acheive long term health, happiness and high performance.

Here are some things to focus on... daily!

1. Meditate (meditation clears the mind of clutter, develops focus and awareness, as well as healing via a calming of the nervous system.

2. Contemplate: Take the time every day to contemplate the direction of your life and how you could move foward in a more harmonious way

3. Exericse: Move with awarness of correct posture and enjoyment, every day! 

4. Hydrate: Drink 0.03 times your body weight a day (in kg's) as a minimum to help the body process toxins and function at an optimum

5. Trust your feelings: Feel first, do second. This means you are not running on auto pilot devoid of feeling and awareness of what you are getting into.
