Kelee Meditation and Sleep - Sunday, March 8th, 2015 1:28 am

Everyone seems to understand the value of a good night's sleep. This is why: As soon as the sun goes down, your body starts winding down to allow for regeneration at a cellular level. Sleep is the primary form of regeneration for the physical and so important that you will die of lack of sleep before you die from lack of food. If you cannot sleep, it is because you cannot rest. This is two-fold: too much activity in an outward sense (coffee, TV, working into the night, physical activity etc) and too much activity in an inward sense.

Ever noticed that when you can’t sleep it’s mostly due to uncontrolled thoughts? The body might be tired but the brain can’t shut down?

If your thoughts cannot relax, your body will not relax, if your body cannot relax due to mental tension and un-controlled thoughts, sleep can be hard. If the body does not get enough sleep, suffering is around the corner.

Kelee Meditation is a way to still the mind and detach from negative thoughts and emotions associated with brain function and misperceptions. If you are to rest properly and allow for cellular regeneration, both a still mind and body is needed.
