Introduction to "Well-Being" - Friday, March 13th, 2015 3:45 am

If we are to understand and optimize our health (state of physical and mental well-being) via self-awareness, there are two basic areas of concern:

1. Physical: in terms of movement, nutrition, water and breathing.

2. Mental health How to let go of troubling thoughts and emotions and live from a more harmonious space within our mind.

Having good physical health is about a flow of good energy through the channels of the body (circulation). When the body is unhealthy it is because it is toxic, so try to eliminate toxins from your diet, drink good water, breathe good air and circulate it with exercise that is fun to you. Our over-all feeling of health in the physical body is called homeostasis and like nature, it is constantly looking for balance. That is managing body temperature, PH levels, immune system, energy in the form of being and doing so the cells can regenerate etc. So as long as you are in a good flow with all that, you will be in a good flow with you physical health. But toxins don't just appear in the physical form... they can be in a mental form, like stress, anxiety and depression, which produce disharmonious chemistry in the body also.

You may have noticed when you feel good mentally, you also feel good physically - and when you feel bad mentally, that also effects your health and vitality. Around 20% of our energy goes up and down with food energy - and about 80% with the state of our mind. This is why it is so important to study both -  and have a way to lead happier, healthier lives, with vitality and enjoyment. Kelee Meditation is a way to let go of troubling thoughts and emotions, develop a deeper mind-body connection and open to a deeper perception of life. I.e., well-being.
